Bio

I am a rising sophomore at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in robotics and controls. Currently I am working for Amin Atrash in the USC Interaction Lab under the supervision of Professor Maja Mataric. I am interested in the overlap between machine learning and assistive technology, which I consider a conceptually fascinating way to help people. Outside of the lab, I enjoy rock climbing, teaching, reading, and exploring.

Projects

Presently I am studying Robotics Operating System and reinforcement learning in order to help Amin with a gesture recognition interface that could help a robot cooperate with a human user in order to execute a task together.

Future plans

In the short term, I hope to learn more about machine learning, mechanics and control, and education. My long-term vocational plans are less certain, but I hope to help people in a way that I find intellectually stimulating and challenging. I should also probably learn how to design a decent looking website!
